3GSM 2007. Government Mobile Forum
10/02/2007
The GSMA Annual Government Mobile Forum (GMF) provides a unique environment where governments and industry leaders come together to discuss the future of wireless communications at the highest level.

The 3rd Annual Government Mobile Forum will take place from 12th - 14th February 2007, as part of the 3GSM World Congress. The forum provides an opportunity for ministers, regulators and industry leaders to come together to discuss the opportunities the mobile industry offers for economic growth and social development around the world. It also provides the ideal opportunity for sharing market insights, networking and forging relationships with others who deal with similar issues on a daily basis.

The 3 days agenda between governments and industry broadly includes attendance at the Leadership Summit (Ministers Only), the Forum and bilateral meetings.

In 2007, the GMF will focus on two key areas; convergence and affordable access. Issues related to convergence including; new market opportunities and the challenges for regulators will be discussed and examined by leading government and industry figures.

Equally important, is the issue of affordable access for all, which will also be a key feature on the GMF agenda. Discussions related to increasing access to affordable services to consumers will take place among leading figures, including speakers from the World Bank, governments, regulators, operators, vendors and others.

The GMF is by invitation only. For more information please contact Joanne Dunne at: jdunne@gsm.org or on +44 7903 321 295.
