The contract, which is for one year with seven one-year options, is estimated to be worth about $280 million, CSC officials said. It is one of the largest IT contracts the Patent and Trademark Office has ever awarded.
CSC will provide systems design, development, implementation, integration, maintenance, testing and training.
Under the new contract, CSC will continue working with the Patent and Trademark Office "to help user communities improve productivity and modify systems rapidly to meet federal mandates and international commitments," said Paul Cofoni, president of CSC’s federal sector business unit.
