TCS, which has been building its presence in Europe and the US with a view to becoming a global firm, said Wilson will act as implementation director to lead the development and delivery of services for its customers in the EMEA region. She will be based in Munich.
N Chandrasekaran, global head of sales and operations at TCS, said: "The addition of Wilson to our European team reiterates the evolving global nature of TCS. As TCS grows its business in Europe, in-depth experience with European IT markets and major software products will be critical, not only to develop and sustain our offerings in this market, but also to accommodate the growth of our European organisation."
Prior to joining TCS, Wilson was global CIO of SAP for three years. Her previous roles have included consultancy and leadership positions with SGS, Accenture and Motorola.
Carol Wilson
Carol Wilson was appointed to the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at SAP in February 2003. She assumes combined responsibility for Internal Business Applications (GSS) and SAP Global IT and as of March 1st, 2005 also for Corporate Security and Strategic Enterprise Process Services.
Carol has held various executive management positions throughout her professional career. She comes to SAP directly from the Munich, Germany offices of Accenture, where she worked on managing various IT project acquisition and delivery activities.
Before joining Accenture, Carol served as CIO and Senior Vice President for the world's leading testing and inspection firm, Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), in Geneva, Switzerland.
Prior to SGS, she built a 15-year career with Motorola, serving in various IT leadership roles for Motorola's European Semiconductor and Corporate divisions.
Carol holds a degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Dallas. Born and raised in Palo Alto, California, Carol has made Munich, Germany her home for the past 20 years.
