Nominations sought for MCA Consultant of the Year 2009

The awards, open to both members and non-members of the MCA, celebrate the achievements of individual consultants at all stages of their careers and provide an insight into what it takes to be an outstanding management consultant. UK consulting firms are invited to submit up to ten nominations across nine categories.

The nine award categories will again be judged by a panel of senior figures from business schools, media, government and business which includes: Charles Tilley, Chief Executive, CIMA; Dr Duncan Angwin, Associate Professor, Warwick Business School; and Lord Tim Clement-Jones, Global Government Relations, DLA Piper.

Alan Leaman, Chief Executive of the MCA commented: “Our industry relies on a constant supply of bright, talented people. The MCA works constantly with its members to attract the best people into consulting, and then to develop and motivate them so that they stay and make a lasting contribution both to their firms and to their clients’ organisations. After the successful launch of the awards in 2007, and their continued success in 2008, I anticipate that this year’s awards will be even more competitive across the nine categories.”

The awards provide a platform to recognise individual excellence in the consulting industry, and showcase the high quality of UK consultants to the wider business and government communities. They also aim to inspire those thinking of a career in consulting, whilst motivating more experienced consultants to further develop their skills and experience. Consulting firms can submit up to ten nominations.

Deadline for entries is 31 July 2009. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 29 October in London and will be featured in a special Sunday Times supplement on 1 November 2009.
