T-Systems appoints Valentino Bravi as new CEO in Italy

Valentino Bravi is the new CEO of T-Systems in Italy. In a stance to become the market leader in the information and communication technology sector in Europe, T-Systems places special focus on the Western European growth markets. Mr Bravi’s appointment as CEO underlines the crucial role of the Italian market in T-Systems' strategy

Milan, February 06, 2007.

Valentino Bravi, 50 years old, looks back on more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry in numerous managerial positions. He headed Etnoteam as Managing Director and General Manager; he was Country Manager for Italy at Siemens Business Services. At Computer Associates Europe he was Senior Vice President and General Manager Emea taking over responsibility including business development and corporate governance. He started his management career at Syntax and Pirelli Informatica.

"We chose Mr. Bravi for his international know-how, strong customer orientation and long-term relationship with our main clients’ top management as well as with the Italian authorities and institutions", says Axel Knobe responsible for business with multinational corporations and large public institutions at T-Systems. Wolfgang Georg Pierskalla, the former acting CEO for Italy, will take on an international task within T-Systems.

The members of the new Board of Directors at T-Systems in Italy are: Axel Werner Knobe, President; Valentino Bravi, CEO; Fausto Plebani, Chief Operation Officer (COO); Alexander Hauser, Chief Financial Officer (CFO); Jeannine Pilloud and Jürgen Hernichel as Directors.
