Capgemini signs five-year BPO agreement with NXP

Outsourcing deal based in India covers end-to-end Finance & Accounting services

Paris, France, September 19, 2007 - Capgemini, one of the world’s leaders in consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced that it has signed a five-year agreement with NXP Semiconductors, the independent semiconductor company founded by Philips, to provide end-to-end Finance and Accounting ("F&A") services, including Procure-to-Pay and Record-to-Report. Under the terms of the agreement, which expands the existing long-term relationship between the two companies, approximately 110 professionals, who are currently based in India, will join Capgemini’s Business Process Outsourcing ("BPO") Excellence Delivery Centre in Chennai, India starting October 1, 2007. This will strengthen Capgemini’s capabilities to provide F&A services, and brings the number of dedicated BPO experts in India to nearly 1,500.

NXP selected Capgemini as its long-term BPO partner to support its Business Renewal Program, which focuses on high performance, operational excellence and an asset-light strategy. Capgemini brings industry expertise and proven delivery capabilities to deliver more flexibility in NXP’s back-office operations. Capgemini had already successfully implemented the SPEED solution (Superior Production Execution through ERP Deployment), based on SAP, for NXP in 2000. "We have worked successfully with Capgemini for many years, including the support of our global SAP rollout and the implementation of our procurement centre in Manila,Philippines" de Koning said.
