Vince Niblett, UK head of audit at Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has been appointed as global leader of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu’s (DTT) Audit and Enterprise Risk Services (AERS) practice. He succeeds Alain Pons, who will become CEO of Deloitte France, effective 1st June.
Niblett will continue to lead the audit practice at Deloitte UK, which, as one of the largest audit practices in Deloitte’s global firm network, boasts 200 partners and 4000 staff. He is also a member of the Deloitte UK board and executive leadership team.
Niblett joined Deloitte in 1980 and became partner in 1989. Throughout his 30 year service with Deloitte, he has been seconded to a number of assignments across the Deloitte global network, including posts in Australia, Luxembourg, the Middle East and South America.
Niblett commented: “I look forward to taking on this role and driving forward our global efforts to increase Deloitte’s audit market share, while keeping an absolute focus on providing exceptional client service.”
Deloitte is also bolstering its UK audit practice with 10 promotions to audit partner across its offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham, St Albans, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and the Isle of Man. New partners include Craig Cosham, Rick Cudworth, Jonathan Dodworth, Kevin Doherty, David Heaton, Rob Knight, Sarah Sanders, Simon Stephens, Chris Thomas and Fiona Walker. There are also promotions for Jay Bevington, Sukie Kooner, James Nunn-Price and Mark Tolley to associate partner.
