Ernst & Young launches 2nd edition of India growth forum

Ernst & Young, the global professional services firm, will gather trailblazers and business leaders at the Renaissance Convention Center Hotel, Mumbai, India from September 06 – 08, 2012 for the 2nd edition of Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum- India. More than 250 founders/CEOs and other business leaders from India, US, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific are expected to come together for the SGF 2012 Forum, where they will discuss the evolving business landscape in the emerging markets and the new wave of high-growth economies such as Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam, Turkey etc; in addition to growth insights on issues such as international listings, private equity, leadership development, innovation, social media and game-changing business models.

With “Grow Beyond” as the theme of the SGF India 2012, business leaders gain insights from the most advanced thinkers and successful practitioners on how to expand beyond their traditional markets and mindsets; establish new partnerships and develop a network of successful global entrepreneurs and C-suite leaders.

The SGF India is modeled along the lines of Strategic Growth Forum in Palm Springs, USA, which has been listed as one of the seven “get-ahead executive retreats” in a leading international Forbes ranking.

“Ernst & Young has a long-standing commitment to help entrepreneurs succeed, which started with our prestigious Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) Program, the world’s only global business award. High-performing organizations are increasingly growing beyond into exploring new markets, while also building capabilities for sustaining profitable growth. The SGF India 2012 provides an excellent opportunity to gain these insights, to know firsthand about other emerging markets; and to forge relationships which will help succeed in these economies. International participants benefit from leveraging on India’s tremendous potential and other partnership possibilities” says Farokh Balsara, Markets Leader – India, Ernst & Young.

Given the important role of relationships in business, the SGF provides ample networking opportunities, including dedicated “networking lounges” at the venue, and an exclusive gala networking dinner. SpotMe, a new high-tech networking app which would enable people to seamlessly meet each other and build relationships, is also being launched at the SGF 2012.

This year, the Forum will see business leader delegations from the US, Nordics (Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark); GSA (Germany, Switzerland and Austria); Mediterranean Region (Italy, Spain); the Netherlands, France and UK; Middle East and Asia Pacific. The forum will also provide a platform to interact with several International senior government officials from Vietnam, Indonesia, Turkey, Myanmar and Azerbaijan.

According to Farokh Balsara, “The SGF India 2012 addresses the issues which are most relevant to business leaders of fast-growth enterprises in today’s global environment. Importantly, they get practical insights from leading thinkers and celebrated practitioners on growth enablers such as planning an international foray; emerging markets and the new high-potential economies; doing an M&A transaction; making an IPO or exploring other aspects of funding; being cost-competitive; improving the supply chain or developing a strong leadership pipeline.”
