The new facility, located at the Robinson’s Cybergate Cebu, will allow Accenture to expand the services it offers out of Cebu to include finance and accounting, said BPO Delivery Center Lead Benedict Hernandez.
The new facility will also allow Accenture to offer custom business process outsourcing (BPO) services for a client.
“For example, we are working with a telecommunications company to support them with the requirements of their customers,” he said in a press conference before the inauguration of the facility.
The expansion of services also allows Accenture to diversify the professional background required of its employees, Mr. Hernandez said. Accenture hopes to double its workforce, currently at 500 in Cebu, by August next year with the opening of the second facility.
“We’re looking forward to other capabilities in outsourcing both in Manila and Cebu,” he added.
In technology outsourcing, Accenture is also looking at offering infrastructure services, testing and digital marketing, said George Son Keng Po, lead of the Delivery Center Network for Technology.
The first Accenture facility in Cebu, located at the Pioneer House within the Cebu Business Park, focuses on technology and contact center outsourcing.
“This (opening of a second facility) is a testament to our growth here. We’re bullish, but everything’s dependent on the demand, which we hope is going to be there,” Mr. Son Keng Po said.
