PwC names managing director for US Capital Projects & Infrastructure practice

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) announced that Anthony F. Caletka has joined the firm as a managing director in the Capital Projects & Infrastructure (CP&I) practice in New York. With over 23 years of consultative experience in the engineering procurement and construction (EPC) industry, he will advise PwC clients on large scale capital projects across many areas including evaluation of project cost and schedule control systems and procedures; development of risk analysis and risk management strategies during project execution; and contract administration support, oversight and guidance. He will also advise clients in developing and applying contract packaging and procurement strategies.

Caletka is internationally recognized in Critical Path Method (CPM) project planning and is a Certified Construction Manager with the Construction Management Association of American (CMAA). His experience crosses many industries, asset classes and project types including: airports, ports and harbors, dams, hydroelectric, nuclear, roads, water/wastewater, train-car (rolling stock) manufacturing, healthcare, schools, and stadium and entertainment. Caletka also has extensive experience in forensics analysis and dispute resolution – he has provided expert evidence in litigation and arbitration on many occasions, is experienced in CPM Scheduling and co-authored some of the leading text and protocols on Forensic Delay Analysis.

"We are pleased to welcome Anthony to our team," said Carter Pate, Global and US Leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Capital Projects & Infrastructure practice. "His extensive experience, advanced knowledge and strategic project management skills will help our clients identify performance problems and add transparency on capital projects."

Previously, Caletka held senior positions at Stone and Webster Engineering Corporation and O'Brien Kreitzberg Inc. and was Company Secretary and Principal of Consulting Services for URS Corporation's Construction Services group based in London. Prior to that, he owned and operated a construction consulting firm in London. He has worked on a wide array of project delivery strategies including those associated with Private Finance Initiative/Public Private Partnerships, Design-Build-Finance-Operate, Construction Management-At-Risk, and Guaranteed Maximum Price contracts. He has also provided conflict resolution services to the legal industry as a subject matter expert on construction related issues.

"I am very happy to be a part of the strategic CP&I team at PricewaterhouseCoopers," said Caletka. "PwC has built an experienced and global team of professionals who can offer clients an integrated service offering spanning the entire lifecycle of a capital project, including funding, planning, analysis, execution, governance and reporting. PwC also distinguishes itself in the market by bringing the full capabilities of the firm to bear the CP&I space, including skills such as tax, sustainability, fraud and corruption mitigation and deep industry experience in utilities, energy, healthcare, and both state and federal government."

Caletka earned his B.S. degree in engineering from Syracuse University/SUNY ESF and is an Adjunct Professor at NYU-Poly where he teaches graduate level courses on project management and CPM Scheduling.
