PwC ranked among UK’s best big companies to work for
The survey, ranking PwC 11th, cited the firm’s leadership, quality and variety of work among its outstanding aspects.
Ian Powell, PwC’s chairman and senior partner, commented: "In such a competitive market for talented people, we’re pleased to be ranked among the top big companies in the UK to work for.
“We strive to make PwC an exceptional place to work. That starts by attracting and developing the brightest and the best business minds. We held our nerve on graduate recruitment levels through the downturn, and that puts us in a strong position for the future. Our people rightly have high expectations of working for PwC and we're investing to offer a really distinctive and rewarding experience."
Over the past 12 months, PwC has invested in new acquisitions in consulting, expanded its internship and graduate programmes, and increased training and development activities. This has included being amongst the first businesses in the UK to roll out a new mobile learning programme, targeting people on live client assignments with short training modules on key business issues, accessed via a BlackBerry.
The firm also extended its community and social enterprise programmes as part of an £8.1m investment in local communities across the UK.
