T-Systems wins 2007 SAP Pinnacle Award
17/05/2007
Winner in the category: Outsourcing Partner – Hosting

Frankfurt am Main, May 16, 2007

SAP presented its long-standing partner T-Systems with one of twenty-four 2007 Pinna-cle Awards at this year's SAPPHIRE, held May 14-16 in Vienna, Austria. The prize honors the outstanding performance of SAP partners. T-Systems received first prize in the "Outsourcing Partner – Hosting" category. T-Systems also came in among the top three finalists in the "Regional Excellence EMEA Central" category. In this category, SAP recognizes excellent cooperation with its partners.

With the annual prize for outsourcing, SAP recognizes partner compa-nies that are able to offer processes as well as infrastructure and security services worldwide with consistent high quality and while continu-ously improving their SAP services. For example, T-Systems has combined its SAP offer with end-to-end solutions that include the entire spectrum of IT and TC services (ICT). With this Real ICT approach, T-Systems can offer customers one service level agreement for the entire solution, because the company monitors and takes on responsibility for the specialized and technical operation of all outsourced business processes.

"The Pinnacle Award is a renowned prize, and we're very pleased to have received it. We participated for the first time last year and came in second place. This year, we were able to top this success," said Olaf Heyden, Head of IT Operations at T-Systems, at the awards ceremony. "We're one of the globally leading service providers of SAP solutions. We intend to strengthen this position in the years to come." T-Systems currently supports around one million SAP users in 20 countries.

T-Systems is the only service provider to offer the "Dynamic Services for SAP Applications" solution. With this solution, companies can use SAP services flexibly based on their actual requirements. Customers receive and pay for only those data center resources that they actually use. Fees are based on the number of transactions, the extent of use and the usage duration. This means that capacities can be flexibly ad-justed to business needs while the costs for SAP operation are signifi-cantly lowered, investment risks are minimized and planning security is improved for the user company.
