Capgemini Consulting and NOA establish Oncology Unit
Oncology represents a significant growing but demanding area for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, where there is currently heavy investment in research, development and commercialization worldwide. This partnership will draw together a leading life sciences team of consultants with international oncology thought leaders, who have an extensive network of academic, government and community experts. While Capgemini can provide broad consulting expertise, with a focus on transformation, strategy and oncology life cycle management, NOA can complement this partnership with in depth expertise in the most critical aspects of the science and practice of oncology. By combining both companies’ capabilities, the ambition is to create a consulting leader in oncology strategy.
The alliance will ultimately benefit clients through direct and immediate access to academic, government and community practice research. Life science companies will be able to gain from creative, oncology-specific approaches to solving complex research, development and commercialization challenges. Together Capgemini Consulting and NOA will help provide actionable, specific recommendations and implementation support to enable a high degree of success within the evolving global oncology market. Through the alliance, life science companies will also have access to greater guidance and direction related to oncology drug discovery, early and late stage clinical development and all aspects of the commercialization of oncology products.
Jean-Marc Neimetz, Global Leader of the Capgemini Consulting Life Sciences Practice, said: “Pharma and Biotech companies continue to transform their oncology business to address the constantly changing oncology landscape. The alliance with NOA will allow Capgemini Consulting to more effectively partner with oncology organizations through the expansion of our oncology consulting capabilities and oncology-specific offerings. From the pursuit of innovative discovery models to transforming their customer facing organization, Capgemini Consulting and NOA will work with organizations to anticipate and stay ahead of trends that impact the viability of their oncology business.”
Carmen Allegra, MD at Novo Oncology Associates, said: “We are delighted to have partnered with Capgemini Consulting. We will be able to draw on Capgemini Consulting’s unique consulting expertise and existing oncology knowledge to provide valuable service offerings to our oncology customers. This alliance allows NOA to expand our knowledge sharing and guidance to a larger group of oncology industry leaders and leverage Capgemini Consulting’s proven approaches and methods for solving the complex challenges that are characteristic of the oncology therapeutic area.”
