Deloitte opens new federal headquarters in Arlington

Deloitte opened its new Federal headquarters in the Rosslyn area of Arlington, Virginia with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week. The new headquarters will serve as a hub for Deloitte's Federal Government Services.

"The opening of our new Federal headquarters today is the final milestone in the integration of Deloitte and BearingPoint," said Robin Lineberger, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and leader of Deloitte Federal Government Services. "Deloitte was already a leader in the Federal marketplace, and the acquisition marked an aggressive expansion into the U.S. federal space, gave us increased market share, strengthened our global position and altered the entire competitive landscape. With the integration of the teams now complete, we're thrilled to continue serving our clients in the important work they do."

For its Federal headquarters, Deloitte has subleased approximately 172,000 square feet of space in the Corporate Executive Board building, located in Waterview Place at 1919 North Lynn Street in Arlington. The headquarters will also host Deloitte's new Center for Federal Innovation and Center for Cyber Innovation, both of which will officially open in the coming weeks.

"The BearingPoint acquisition was a bold and strategic move for Deloitte," said Gene Procknow, principal, Deloitte LLP, and Federal Market leader. "We provide the most comprehensive services portfolio in the market, from strategy, planning and design related services to implementation and operation related services. We are excited about the positive results we are already seeing from the integration, and are proud of the work we are doing for our federal government clients."

"The decision to locate our Federal headquarters here represents a long-term commitment to Arlington County and the Commonwealth of Virginia," said Gary Tabach, partner, Deloitte & Touche LLP, and Deloitte's managing partner for the Southeast region. "Our strategy is to locate our teams in a geographically strategic location near our D.C.-based clients, and we feel that our presence here will help us collaborate even more closely with our federal government clients."

Deloitte will still maintain a significant presence with its District of Columbia and McLean, Virginia facilities.
