Ernst & Young announces new Advisory leader for Scotland

Ernst & Young has announced the appointment of a new partner, Stephen Farrell, to lead the firm’s Advisory practice in Scotland.

Farrell’s appointment adds strength to the practice, which has already seen 10 new partners join the UK team over the last 12 months. This is part of the firm’s ambitious growth plans to double revenues for Advisory over the next three years.

Farrell specialises in business transformation, performance improvement and assurance services and joins Ernst & Young from Mouchel Plc, where he held the position of managing director of Mouchel's international consulting business.

He has over 15 years’ experience in the management and delivery of large complex business transformation programmes across a number of industry sectors including government, utilities, life sciences and financial services.

Speaking of his appointment, Farrell said, “What really attracted me to Ernst & Young was the vision and ambition of the advisory team across the UK. The reputation of the team in the market and its depth of talent made my decision to join very easy.”

Harry Gaskell, managing partner, UK & Ireland advisory services, said, “Stephen is an outstanding performer who brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience which will add great value to our clients’ businesses. He will help drive our ambitious UK growth plans and cement the firm’s position as the leading provider of advisory services in Scotland.”
