Hay Group makes senior appointment in Healthcare practice

Bill Quirk has joined Hay Group as National Director of Business Development in the Healthcare Practice, effective January 1, 2010.

“After I learned that Bill had left Sullivan Cotter, I called him that day to see what happened,” remarked CJ Bolster, National Director for Hay Group’s Healthcare Practice. “After talking for a while, we tossed around the idea of him coming on board at Hay Group. I have known Bill for many years and am excited to see what we can accomplish being on the same team. We wanted another playmaker and somehow got LeBron James.”

Prior to being at Sullivan Cotter, Mr. Quirk was a partner at Buck Consultants and the healthcare practice leader at Towers Perrin before that. All included, he has more than 30 years experience advising healthcare providers on compensation and leadership development strategies. He has worked with boards and management alike at some of the country’s largest, most prestigious and most complex health systems and hospitals. Also a Unites States Air Force veteran and graduate of Harvard University, St. Mary’s University and the University of Colorado, Mr. Quirk’s background is certainly one of experience and valor.

“I am looking forward to working with CJ and the Hay Group team. They have been terrific competitors, now we can serve their existing and new clients even better,” said Bill.

In his new role, Mr. Quirk will focus on go-to-market strategies in both the compensation and leadership development consulting areas, acquisition of new clients for Hay Group and working with the Reward Information Services group at Hay Group to further solidify their place in the market, which already stands as the only top-to-bottom healthcare compensation database in the world. He and his family plan to relocate back to the East Coast sometime this summer.
