PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) is ranked in 21st place in the annual Stonewall Equality Index showcasing Britain’s best employers for lesbian and gay staff.
The index is based on a range of key indicators which this year included the largest ever survey of lesbian and gay employees, with almost 7,000 participants. This survey consistently revealed staff satisfaction levels were highest at the top ranking organisations in the index. Gay staff working at the top 25 workplaces reported a satisfaction level almost 10 per cent higher than workplaces outside the top 100.

PwC’s diversity strategy supports a firm wide network for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GALE) employees as a means of making role models more visible and accessible, creating opportunities for networking, mentoring, support and development. GALE, working together with the firm, promotes equality, inclusion and respect for all, regardless of sexual orientation through a programme of internal and external networking and education events, information and support and volunteering activities.
