PwC to acquire Oracle Identity Management consultancy
Entology's expertise in enterprise technology solutions will add significant capabilities to PwC's Security and Business Intelligence practices.

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) LLP is to acquire substantially all the assets of Entology, Inc., an enterprise technology solutions consulting firm and the leader in implementing Oracle Identity Management.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in November 2008. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Awarded the Oracle Titan Award for Excellence in Security and Identity Management in 2006 and 2007, Entology's team of seasoned professionals architect, develop and implement enterprise technology solutions, including identity management, content management, and collaborative business portals. The acquisition includes a group of client service professionals with significant industry, operational and IT expertise. Entology CEO Lawrence R. Prager will join PwC as a managing director and member of the firm's Oracle and Security practices, led respectively by PwC Advisory partners Sohail Siddiqi and Gary Loveland.

"PricewaterhouseCoopers' Advisory practice is focused on helping organizations anticipate and manage the impact of enterprise-wide change -- and identity management in many cases is a foundational component of successful change efforts," said PwC's Oracle Technology practice leader and partner, Sohail Siddiqi. "Our acquisition of Entology adds tremendous bench strength to our identity management implementation capabilities and significantly enhances our market-leading position in information security consulting."

PricewaterhouseCoopers' Advisory practice has over 1,300 security, data management and business intelligence professionals in the U.S. and over 3,200 around the world. Entology's expertise extends beyond identity management to include content management and related business intelligence solutions, enterprise portals, and application development. The acquisition benefits mutual clients who will gain the experience of Entology's seasoned technology professionals along with the deep industry, technology and global business consulting experience of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

"We are excited about the opportunities this acquisition will bring to the market," said Lawrence R. Prager, CEO of Entology, Inc.
