PwC UK appoint new director of corporate sustainability

Jackson has an MSc in environment and climate change, and brings more than ten years experience in international business, and over a decade in strategy consulting. She will report to Richard Collier-Keywood, managing partner, and board sponsor for corporate sustainability activities.

Richard Collier – Keywood, managing partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP commented: “Our investment in environmental management and the communities in which we live and work has grown exponentially over the past decade and we’ve consistently innovated and set the standard for corporate best practice. Bridget’s appointment steps up our efforts to provide leadership to our people and community partners.”

Jackson commented: “PwC has a great track record in corporate sustainability, and I will be looking to help the firm take these sustainability achievements to the next level, by setting the bar higher for the sector and demonstrating the broad business and personal rewards of sustainability investments.”

During 2008-2009, 4,600 PwC employees across the UK donated the equivalent of 23 working years to national and regional activities focused on education, employability and the environment. The firm’s total community contribution – including cash, time and in-kind support – amounted to £7.9m in that period.

PwC recently launched a dedicated corporate sustainability site to share the firm’s strategy, targets and performance with employees and other stakeholders.
