T-Systems formulates objective: Global ICT market leader. Open for strategic partnership
The prerequisites for doing business with multinational customers are global presence, size and cost competitiveness. This applies particularly to IT services.

Frankfurt, March 01, 2007

In the context of the corporate strategy communicated by the Deutsche Telekom Board of Management, the trend toward integrated ICT solutions consisting of IT and telecommunications technologies for business customers represents a driver for international growth.

T-Systems believes that these three success factors can best be achieved by establishing a leading global ICT service provider. This mirrors the corporate strategy of T-Systems, which Lothar Pauly, CEO of T-Systems and Deutsche Telekom Board Member for Business Customers and Production, has been pursuing for a good 18 months now together with his management team. The successful integration of gedas is only one example. The goal of becoming the leading ICT company has the highest priority for T-Systems.

This is why in the coming months, the company will examine all possible options as to how — as part of a strategic partnership — it can establish a strong, efficient and global ICT service provider in order to both expand international presence and benefit from greater economies of scale.
