Some lucky visitors have subsequently been hired by firms that exhibited at the Fair, according to Bryan Hickson, Top-Consultant.com Managing Director. “We know of one case where a candidate was made a job offer on the day of the Fair. Exhibitors are now coming back and telling us of other people that they met at the Fair that have subsequently been hired.”
“The Careers Fair was only one month ago, so we're pretty staggered to hear of this hiring news already and are eagerly anticipating more good news over the coming months,” added Hickson.
Six leading consulting brands, of the total of 48 exhibitor firms, gave presentations at the Fair. Recordings of these presentations have just been made available to watch online. The Management Consultancies Association (MCA) – the UK industry body – additionally shared the latest trend data for the UK’s consulting sector and these insights are also being made available to readers.
Recordings of the presentations by Accenture, Amdocs Consulting, EDS, Ernst & Young, IBM, Lodestone and the MCA can be accessed by visiting: http://videos.top-consultant.com/Careersfair/video_list.aspx.
The next careers event will be held 'virtually' on the 20th February next year, the follow up of the first ever virtual consultancy careers fair from June 2008, which saw 42 companies like Accenture, Amdocs, Deloitte, Detica, and IBM exhibiting.
If you're a recruiter and would like more details on exhibiting, contact Sarah Nutton (email@example.com) for more details.
If you're a candidate interested in visiting the fair, we'll be sending out registration details in the New Year, so for now just mark the date in your diary!
